Rent Review Board · Meeting of February 26, 2026

NJ CHERRY HILL — Cherry Hill's Rent Review Board denied a rent reduction request from four Grand Apartments residents. Residents Rae Haltzman, Gerald Feldman, Susan Marks, and Dennis Taylor testified about a nonfunctional pool for years, reduced concierge service from 24 hours to part-time, eliminated bus service, and elevator failures. Haltzman requested a 10 percent rent reduction and testified about a lifeguard texting and wearing earbuds during a child's injury.

In separate action, the Board unanimously approved a 4.39 percent increase for Hampshire House Apartments, with Manager Michael Baez citing property improvements including hallway upgrades, painting, and equipment replacements during his 18 months in the role.
