Zoning Board approves second-story addition variance on State Street
Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of January 22, 2026
NJ CHERRY HILL — Cherry Hill Zoning Board unanimously approves second-story addition variance for State Street property. The board voted 7-0 to approve a bulk variance for Andrew Mohabir and Elizabeth Boehmke to build a 1,531-square-foot second-story addition with four bedrooms and two bathrooms at their State Street home, granting relief from side yard setback requirements in the R3 residential zone. Board members Jay Jones and Chair Jonathan Rardin voiced support for the project.
The board also heard testimony on SR Builder, LLC's separate application for retroactive approval of a 400-square-foot detached garage at Monroe Avenue; public commenters raised concerns about the structure's height and distance from the property line, though the minutes do not record a voting outcome on that application.
